Students have the choice of choosing between “In-Person” and “Virtual” classroom experiences. Both Virtual & In-Person sessions run Wednesdays, February 28 - March 27, 6:30PM - 9:30PM Central.

If you choose to enroll in the “In-Person” section of this course, class takes place at Chicago Filmmakers ( 1326 W. Hollywood Avenue, Chicago, IL 60660 )

This course will help students learn to use Adobe After Effects to build motion graphics and visual effects into their post-production skill set. Topics covered range from foundational steps, such as ingesting assets and principles of animation, to more advanced 3D animation and compositing techniques. Editing with Premiere Pro is a recommended prerequisite class.

Technical Requirements: This class will be held hybrid, using Canvas to share video tutorials and class assignments, Dropbox for accessing clips, and Zoom for weekly class meetings. Up to six (6) students may sign-up to be in-person and make use of the Chicago Filmmakers desktops and Adobe Creative Cloud licenses. All remote students must have Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects installed on their home computer.
