This course will meet weekly in-person on Tuesdays, October 10 to November 14 from 6:30PM to 9:30PM (Central Time).

This course explores directing actors and the technical elements of Cinema Directing. We will learn how to analyze dialogue and dramatic material; the development of the dramatic situation; understanding character needs and relationships; script breakdown. Director/actor preparation, research and the casting process are also covered. We will also examine the technical aspects of Directing such as camera, blocking, lighting and sound. A 1-2 page scene will be analyzed, rehearsed and filmed as a final project.
