The first of two screenings curated by Chicago-founded and based independent content development group Creative Cypher of dynamic new local web series, which mirror Creative Cypher's focus on diversity, accessibility, and multiculturalism. This screening features Seeds (episodes 1-5, 35 min), a socially conscious, dark-humored series that follows the misadventures of four young black women in Chicago, directed by C.J. Thomas and written by Deja Harrell; and Low Strung (episodes 1-7, 79 min), a satirical series about the daily, sometimes surreal, experience of a young couple of color in Chicago, that covers all the important things about modern life: Tinder dates, pet ownership, Xboxes, exercise, sex, technology, and social media. Created and written by Victoria Lee and Shervin Bain, and directed by Addison Wright and Lili Kryzanek.
