If you’ve ever tried to explain your entire film to someone in one or two sentences you’ve probably realized that this can be quite challenging. Unfortunately, when trying to capture the attention of a producer or agent, you might only have a sentence or two worth of time to get your idea across. Writing a strong logline that effectively represents your screenplay and entices potential readers has truly become an art form of its own. In this one-day workshop, students will learn to effectively identify the throughlines of screenplays, specifically examining idea vs. concept vs. premise in order to generate more focused and pitch-ready loglines that will be sure to spark the attention of readers.
