Movie Bears is a social activity group for gay and
bisexual bearish/cubbish/otterish/etc. men and their friends in the
greater Chicago area. The group meets every third Saturday of the
month to enjoy a movie at a different, Chicagoland theater, followed
by an optional dinner at a near-by restaurant.

Congregation Or Chadash - Congregation of New Light - was founded in 1975 as a response to the discrimination and isolation experienced by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Jews in mainstream synagogues.
Today Or Chadash exists to provide a warm and nurturing environment for all Jews with special services to the LGBT Jewish community. We respect the varied ways in which people express their commitment to Jewish life. Our members come from all denominations of Jewish and non-Jewish backgrounds so our services tend to be a good mix of Hebrew and English with lots of singing.

Gerber/Hart Library was founded in 1981 as a repository for the records of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals, organizations and businesses. Gerber/Hart has a library of over 15,000 volumes and an archives of historical materials. SAGE Center on Halsted (Services and Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Elders), in collaboration with Chicagolandıs older adult population, offers comprehensive programming based on the holistic wellness model. Specific program offerings are informed by participant input, research in LGBT aging, planning meetings and the guidance of the 16-member SAGE Advisory Council. Current areas of programming are education, civic engagement, health and wellness, social and cultural programs, resource and referral information, a Friendly Visitor program for isolated LGBT elders
and intergenerational programs.

Dedicated to teaching, researching, serving, and caring for LGBTQA communities, the Gender & Sexuality Center provides knowledge and educational resources to combat prejudice, misunderstanding, and misinformation about issues of gender identity and sexual/affectional orientation. The GSC works toward sending a humanist message to the UIC community that all individuals are entitled to receive an equal and safe educational opportunity. To accomplish this goal, the GSC strives to create a learning environment that is free from harassment, violence, and discrimination for individuals of any gender identity or sexual/affectional orientation. Windy City Performing Arts (WCPA) is the parent organization for two outstanding Chicago GLBT choruses, the Windy City Gay Chorus (now celebrating its 30th anniversary) and Aria: Windy City Women's Ensemble. WCPA exists to create, nurture and maintain performing arts ensembles of the highest level of artistic quality for the purposes of fostering gay and lesbian pride, promoting understanding and compassion for GLBT people, and reaching out to touch the lives of GLBT and mainstream audiences through musical excellence. YPC is the largest, and only, LGBT organization dedicated to serving youth of color from the south side of Chicago. YPC is a youth empowering program based on education, disciple, brotherhood, heritage and tradition. 87% of YPC members attend school, participate in community service projects and take on some form of leadership role within the organization. YPC youth regularly are called on to speak at conventions, rallies and advocacy events where turnout is needed. YPC is know nationally and has traveled to Las Vegas, Atlanta, Columbus, Milwaukee, Indiana and Washington D.C.
