Chicago Filmmakers offers classes and training to area schools and businesses.

Our network of highly qualified instructors and access to filmmaking resources gives us a unique edge to tackle almost any media-arts endeavor. If you have a special project that requires a media professional or have access to equipment but lack the skills to use it effectively, we are here to help.

Businesses looking for assistance or training in videography, sound design, editing, visual storytelling, or other media-related projects can contact us for assistance. Our roster of consultants include professional filmmakers, sound artists, graphic designers, and college and university instructors. Their expertise, creativity and project management skills can be applied to a variety of industries.

Schools looking to design a class for students or faculty can utilize Chicago Filmmakers to develop and implement specialized training for any program. In the past we have provided classes in media arts for youth at many educational institutions. We have also provided instruction to teachers on how to use media effectively in the classroom. Previous classes have been coordinated with the University of Chicago, Evanston Public Schools, Chicago Park District, and Chicago Public Schools through the Open Youth Networks program.
